Billy
- Registration No.: 08-15283
- Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
- Gender: Male
-
Age: 2 Years
- Description: "Oh, where have you been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy? Oh, where have you been charming Billy?" This good-looking Domestic Medium Hair is a sly fellow, but he slipped up when caught in a cat trap back on the 4th of July. Probably frightened from all of the fireworks. Hey, we should rename him "Sparky!" Billy is only two years old, black and white, and is a real couch "purr-tato." Did we mention sweet, lovable and cuddly, too? If you've got a lap, Billy's your boy!

Kluska
- Registration No.: 08-16192
- Breed: Domestic Short Hair
- Gender: Female
-
Age: 5 Years
- Description: Have you heard of the Iditarod in Alaska? Well, Kluska here (means Brave and Fearless Musher in the Inuit language) was once Lead Feline in the Icatarod [and if you believe that, we've got a piece of property in Timbuktu we'd like to try and sell you]! Actually, clever little Kluska was surrendered to us on July 12th, and appears to have been previously sterilized. She is primarily black, with some interesting orange splotches here and there -- nowhere more charmingly placed than on the bottoms of her paws.

BuBu
- Registration No.: 08-13606
- Breed: Domestic Short Hair
- Gender: Female
-
Age: 6 Years
- Description: Baby girl BuBu sure looks a lot younger than her age would imply; must be all those moisturizers she uses late at night! An owner surrender back on June 18th, BuBu is calico and white with a really nice mask. She is also sweet and petite, as well as daintily independent. In other words, she knows what she wants out of life, but can be "purr-suaded" to change her mind! At six years old, BuBu qualifies for our "Seniors for Seniors Program," and is free to anyone age 60 or older.

Bianca
- Registration No.: 08-13415
- Breed: Domestic Short Hair
- Gender: Female
-
Age: 3 Years, 6 Months
- Description: This mostly white kitty with the black markings simply could not be any cuter if she tried. An owner surrender on June 16th, little Bianca is very sweet, curious as hops about her surroundings, and loaded with "purr-sonality." She likes to play rub-a-dub and Frisky Cat, too! Bianca married the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger back in the '70's, but he was a notorious "felinizer" and she divorced him because of "in-fur-delity." They have a daughter, Jade, born with only two back paws but a GINORMOUS mouth!!

Otis
- Registration No.: 08-12377
- Breed: Domestic Short Hair
- Gender: Male
-
Age: 2 Years, 1 Month
- Description: Otis has a distinct aura about him -- wise; ancient; all-knowing; all-forgiving. He's a "been there, done that" kind of cat! Surrendered by his owners back on June 5th, this orange and white fellow is very mellow; is of good size and conformation; and literally oozes self-confidence and charm. Now, some say Otis' elevator doesn't go all the way to the top, but Otis merely scoffs at his detractors and replies, "They just enjoy pushing my buttons!"

Puma
- Registration No.: 08-16039
- Breed: Domestic Short Hair
- Gender: Female
-
Age: 1 Year, 1 Month
- Description: We don't know what the It Factor is "purr-zactly," as it seems to mean different things to different peeps. To us, it means that this white and grey beauty (an owner surrender on July 11th) is like Clara Bow, who was called The "It" Girl. She just had "it," you know (whatever "it" is)! Are we making any sense at all, or are we just confusing you?!? Come on down to the shelter and see for yourself what The "It" Factor is all about. Be the first one on your block to own an "It" Kitty!

|
Aero
- Registration No.:08-18827
- Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
- Gender: Male
- Age: 2 Years, 6 Months
- Description:Make no mistake about it, bold and beautiful Aero is no fancy-pants lapdog; this 70-lb. animal will require a strong handler. An owner surrender on August 8th, this black and white standout is looking, ideally, for someone who likes to laugh and play around. Aero may guard special toys or treats, so care should be taken if keiki are in the family. Also, he is pushy with other dogs, and they don't always get along with him. Other than that, the only bleep on the radar screen is that Aero is Heartworm positive, a fully treatable disease by your private vet.

Bat
- Registration No.:08-16986
- Breed: Labrador/Pitbull Mix
- Gender: Female
- Age: 7 Years, 1 Month
- Description:This writer disagrees with the breed description of "Labrador/Pitbull Mix." I mean, just look at this classic German Shepherd head and ears! Whatever Bat is, and only the dear Lord knows for sure, she is a sweetheart and joy to be around. Bat has a very soft, sable-colored coat and ears plenty big enough to hear you when she's called for dinner! She's looking for a patient owner with a relaxed life-style, as too much activity makes her nervous. Bat has been diagnosed with the Heartworm infection, a 100% treatable condition.

Daisy
- Registration No.:08-18442
- Breed: Pitbull/Amer. Bulldog Mix
- Gender: Female
- Age: 2 Years, 3 Months
- Description:This young female has several strikes against her right off the blocks, but all are easily attended to with proper diet and a visit to the vet. For starters, Daisy got surrendered by her owners on August 4th. She was admitted with areas of hair loss to her brown and white coat -- probably dietary in nature, as she is on the thin side. She also has Heartworm, which is treatable by your vet. Daisy is relaxed, laid-back, and clearly enjoys the easy life. She reminds us of "Chance," the American Bulldog featured in the movie Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. This sweet girl would make an outstanding family pet to the family willing and able to bring her "up to code."

Jazz
- Registration No.:08-18576
- Breed: Weimaraner (purebred)
- Gender: Female
- Age: 6 Years
- Description:Hard to believe this beauty would be surrendered by anyone, but so it goes. Jazzy ended up on our doorsteps August 8th, and we are excited about finding a good, new home for her. Somewhat forward in temperament, Jazz has tons of energy and may jump on peeps. She would benefit greatly from obedience training. True to her breed, she also tends to vocalize whenever she is left behind. "Get over it, girlfriend -- that's life, and ALL THAT JAZZ!"

Norman
- Registration No.:08-18557
- Breed: German Shepherd Mix
- Gender: Male
- Age: 2 Years
- Description:They are calling Norman a German Shepherd mix but, really, there is a whole lotta other stuff going on there as well -- Husky, Beagle, Setter, Hound, you-name-it; Norman's a real Heinz 57. This predominantly black and white stray weighs in at around 40 lbs. He doesn't get along well with kids, and is shy and timid initially. Norman looks sad because of his unusual markings but, really, he is very calm and even-tempered -- just patiently waiting for his new master or mistress to appear. Norman (who really should be a "Ringo") has been diagnosed with Heartworm disease, which is treatable by your private vet.

Summer
- Registration No.:08-17839
- Breed: Dalmation Mix
- Gender: Female
- Age: 3 Years, 1 Month
- Description:If you have a booming baritone, forget about adopting Summer as you will probably scare the spots off her body! She needs a soft voice and gentle encouragement. This predominantly white Dally with the light brown markings was brought in as a field stray on July 29th. She tips the scales at around 45 lbs. She is shy, tending to stay to the back of her kennel -- not soliciting for attention at all. Too bad, as she is incredibly sweet up close and personal. Summer has been diagnosed Heartworm positive; check with your private vet as to treatment for this disease.

Are puppies available?!?
- Registration No.: NEW
- Breed: all sizes, colors, breeds
- Gender: M&F
- Age: 8 weeks and up
- Description: MAYBE! Puppies are usually adopted quickly, so be here when we open and play with the pups. If you like one, put your name on our list and meet with an adoption counselor. Be patient -- it may take several visits to find your true puppy love.

Lola
- Registration No.:08-17349
- Breed: Rabbit
- Gender: Female
- Age: 4 Months
- Description: Lola gets, and you can bet little Lola wants VOUS! If you adopted this darling bunny for no other reason than just to sit and look at her all day long, that would be reason enough. White with kohl-rimmed eyes and ears, Lola is sweet, curious, extremely handleable, and "whisker-licious" to boot! She's got Bette Davis eyes, like -- fer sure!!

Mr. Wiggley
- Registration No.:08-17219
- Breed: Rabbit
- Gender: Male
- Age: Unknown
- Description: Brought in as a counter stray on July 23rd, Mr. Wiggly is white with black markings and a most "deb-bun-air" temperament. He is curious about you, but quick movements startle him. When you're around Mr. Wiggly, you must promise to move in slow motion, please! We are not sure about this rabbit's age, but he doesn't appear to have any grey hairs yet!

Thelma & Louise
- Registration No.:08-17666
- Breed: Guinea Pigs
- Gender: Female
- Age: 2 Years
- Description: These fat and sassy girls were surrendered just three days ago. Although without a home to call their own, they sure haven't missed any meals of late. Attired in the ever-popular Delightful White, both little piggies are very sweet and utterly devoted to each other. It would be a shame to break them apart. Thelma and Louise will tolerate handling, but are understandably a mite fearful at the moment.
