How to Register for a Program
Contact 356-2206 or hhs@hawaiianhumane.org a minimum of 2 weeks prior for reservations and availability of any one of our student programs. There is no fee for our education programs; however, any donation is greatly appreciated. Type 'Education Department-Programs for Students' in the subject line. Include the following:

At Your Service, Service Learning Presentation
Service learning strengthens your curriculum, provides hands-on, interactive learning and can help a charity in need! The Humane Society can visit with your student group to explain and explore different aspects of service learning.

Some ideas to get you started:

Recycle to raise cash for the animals

Conduct a drive for pet toys, towels, shoe boxes and/or newspapers

Host a book reading at your local library

Create a display that teaches about pet overpopulation

Make a presentation at your Sunday School

Coordinate a shelter clean up day
Self-Guided Educational Tour
The Humane Society invites you and your students to participate in a self-guided educational tour. An informational packet will be sent to prepare you for the experience.

Tour Availability
Monday – Friday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Guidelines

Park buses in the front lot only. Cars may park in the Kehena Place back lot

One adult chaperone per 10 students

Adults assume responsibility for all students, which must be supervised at all times

Refrain from eating, drinking, and gum chewing around the animals
-
Covered shoes and name tags are encouraged
-
Hand sanitizer (available shelter-wide) should be used before and after touching any animal
-
Lunch may be eaten in the courtyard (specify this in your request)
